Diablo 3 Removes Pets and Reforging Scrolls

Below you’ll find an introduction about the removal of pets and reforging scrolls in d3. To see the changes implemented by Blizzard, you can check out all the game information presented in the form of readable guides.

Blizzard has announced recently Diablo 3 will have some features removed in order to release the game soon. As of February 9th, Blizzard will be meeting with shareholders to discuss Quarter 4 results which may or may not announce the release date of Diablo 3.

As for the game itself, the features removed are: Scrolls of Reforging and Scrolls of Companions. Needless to say, these features will be removed for now as one of the game’s managers mentioned both felt ‘incomplete’ and also, not ‘good enough for the game’ in its current state. The pets were too ‘cute’ for a dark, horror fantasy theme such as Diablo 3. However, Blizzard will be considering adding these two back into the game sometime in the future when it has been refined.

Players will have to look forward to the game without these! Jay Wilson still mentions the date is drawing closer but exactly how close will it be?

Diablo 3 Out Of Blizzcon 2012

blizzcon-cancelled

Here’s an overview of no BlizzCon 2012 this year. More detailed content could be found over at this game guide website about the cancellation or the game’s information.

Disappointing news after disappointing news as Blizzard Entertainment just cancelled Blizzcon 2012. Something we have all been looking forward to. Instead, Blizzcon is moved to next year and the reason behind it is due to a jam packed schedule.

They have also confirmed that the Battle.net World Championship will be held in Asia this year. Nothing for us Western people.

This is what they say:

We’re excited to be showcasing Blizzard eSports on a truly global stage this year. We’re also heavily focused on getting Diablo III, Mists of Pandaria, and Heart of the Swarm into players’ hands as soon as possible. In light of our jam-packed schedule, we’ve decided to hold the next BlizzCon in 2013.
Oh well, all we can do is wait, wait and wait. Hopefully some good news will arrive Quarter 2 about the release of D3 hopefully this year.

Diablo 3 in Q1?

Below is a quick summary of Diablo may be headed to store shelves in Q1. Providing you with an introduction to the classes of diablo 3, these reference books will give you a feel for the game.

Early this year, Diablo 3 showed signs of a possibility to be released in Q1. With all hope heightened a shocking statement that Senior Producer, Steven Parker departs Blizzard again shot all hopes down. Announcements also came out that Diablo 3 made huge changes to their system – mainly in the Core Characters Attributes.

Last week, Jay Wilson from Blizzard announced that Diablo 3 will go through yet again some major changes to the various aspects in the game, and also go through a testing phase, and test results from the closed beta. These changes include crafting, items, attributes, and inventory. Wilson also says

“We’re working on major changes to the skill and rune systems that we’re not ready to talk about, but I promise you we can’t possibly ship without a finished skill and rune system.”

CONFIRMED! Diablo 3 on Consoles!

Diablo 3 is now confirmed for a console release (even if they still intend on developing the game for PC/MAC)! This shouldn’t be surprising to many gamers out there since the rumors have been flying around the web several weeks ago. And now, ladies and gentlemen, it has been confirmed (for now) but it hasn’t been confirmed for what console yet. My suspicions would be for the PS3 and XBOX 360… Sorry Wii but, Diablo 3 on Wii makes no sense.

On the Blizzard website, many have taken note of the vacant spots for console developers (hint hint). But nothing can be more clear than this posted on Twitter:

Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project.’

Sounds good? The problem with this is that the players may not yet be ready to revert back to good ol’ PlayStation back when the first Diablo was released in 1998. It’s still puzzling news if you look at it in perspective but it’s Blizzard; nobody understands them.

All we can simply do now is wait for the elusive release date which will probably be sometime after February and into March.

Diablo 3 System Changes

d3-system-changeDiablo 3′s system changes is ensured to make the game run more fluid, thus, including in the diablo 3 leveling guide, players can read the changes implemented by Blizzard.

Nope, this post is not another post about when D3 will be launching as we all know pretty well by now that it is no where in February (according to all the hype and buzz). All that is down the drain now. This post is about Diablo 3 and its new system changes. Here’s a quick overview to what medications will be implemented – crafting, items, core attributes and inventory.

The latest changes unveiled are as follows:

• Scrolls of Identification are no longer in the game
• The fifth quick slot button has been moved and is becoming a dedicated potion button
• The Mystic artisan has been removed, but may be included post-launch.
•The Cauldron of Jordan and Nephalem Cube have both been removed, as they detracted from the benefits of returning to town to sell items, salvage, craft, and interact with the townsfolk.
• The Blacksmith artisan will now salvage items, but common (white) items will no longer be salvageable.
• Character stats will now display directly on the inventory UI.

One of the biggest change is in the Core Characters Attributes. They have now been changed to Strength, Dexterity, Intellect, and Vitality.

What this will ultimately do is Defense, Attack and Precision are now gone and switched into their places are Armor (changed from Defense), +Physical Resist (changed from Attack), and +Chance to Crit will be changed from Precision.

The new stat/benefit breakdown is as follows:

Strength
+Barbarian damage
+Armor

Dexterity
+Demon Hunter damage
+Monk damage
+Dodge

Intellect
+Wizard damage
+Witch Doctor damage
+Health from globes

Vitality
+Health

South Korea’s Diablo 3 Auction House Removed

d3 auction house

After much controversial debate on Blizzards features, the Auction House – which allows players to sell and purchase in-game items using real cash. This move was to prevent gold farmers from setting up their own sites to sell gold for real cash. In a way this would help protect in-game currency/item buyers and make everything paid via PayPal.

As far as South Korea’s version of the upcoming huge hit Diablo 3, the Auction House feature will be removed. Blizzard was having difficulty climbing the popularity ladder in Korea due to this Auction House feature. Korea has a strict rule against games with potential financial gain which is in line with their anti-gambling sentiments. However, with this removal, Blizzard is seeing increased ratings for the game in this strict country.

Relating news to the d3 auction house details can be further read here. Get a glimpse into how Blizzard will try to optimize the use of real world money into this system where players can freely buy and sell items.

Diablo On Console?

You’ve heard it folks: Diablo on console BUT is it really? Is it really true that an award winning PC game by Blizzard Entertainment will shift back to the console it diverged those many years ago? There is no ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to this answer but rather a definite ‘maybe’. There is lots of speculation surrounding this news (or myth) but what can we expect from Blizzard? Nothing.

All of this started from a Tweet. However, knowing Blizzard’s announcements, it’s unlikely that Diablo worshipers will be getting their hands on a console based version of the game (but I can be wrong; please don’t smite me) but we have to wait for the official news. One can speculate lots on how the console version will look like; better graphics, smoother gameplay but… how on earth will anybody use those ten or so skills when console controllers only have around ten buttons? Curious isn’t it? In the realm of possibilities, Blizzard can pull this off only if the can find a console team.

Nevertheless, this is a piece of news worth looking into if console gamers want to taste the magnificence of Diablo 3 and the number of d3 guides, item run guides and leveling guides the game can present.
