Diablo 3 Skill & Rune Changes Explained

If you haven’t already heard, Diablo 3 are making huge changes again including a character wipe in the Diablo 3′s patch 13. The whole Skill and Runes system has been modified and hopefully is to the gamers liking. There’s more information that can be found about each skill and rune here, plus, a thorough explanation on how to use them.

Diablo 3 now divides your skills into 3 different categories, Primary Attack, Secondary Attack and Defensive and also class specific skills such are mantras for the Diablo 3 Monk and armor spells for the Diablo 3 Wizard. The purpose of this change was to provide players with a sense of customization.

“We hope the new, more guided interface will give you an in-game heads up as to the intent of each skill — and maybe even be the way you play through the game in Normal — but if you eventually have a build that simply can’t be accomplished the way we’ve laid things out, you’re free to pop on Elective Mode and take the skills you want,” Diablo 3 director Jay Wilson said.

Take a deeper look into the Skill & Rune System below.
